XtraTime Web Desk: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) today announced the complete fixtures of the season 1 of the Super Cup. Indian Premier League side Chennaiyin FC will face I-League side Aizawl FC in the tournament opener on March 31st. On the otherhand newly crowned I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC will begin their journey against Jamshedpur FC on April 2.
Bengaluru FC, who has become the first team to reach the final of ISL 2017-18 will play their first knock-out game against the second qualifying side on April 1, on the other hand FC Goa will start their campaign against the fourth qualifier on April 3.
Kolkata giant Mohun Bagan will face the first qualifier on April 1, where as East Bengal will begin their journey on April 4. ISL side FC Pune City will face Shillong Lajong on the same day. On April 6, Neroca will take on Kerala Blasters.
The quarter-finals date will be decided after the match between Aizawl FC and Chennaiyin FC on March 31 as Aizawl FC has their AFC Cup commitments as well.
“This tournament shall draw the attention of football lovers across the country,” AIFF vice-president, Subrata Dutta, said.
