Kolkata : Former India captain Sourav Ganguly will be leading the Libra Legends in the forthcoming Masters Champions League . It will be a fascinating moment for the cricket fans when two of India’s most successful batsmen Sourav and Sehwag will lead their respective teams for the opening game of the MCL on January 28 . The opening match between Libra Legends and Gemini Arabians will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE .
The Libra Legends are all set to enthrall the world with cricketing legends like Sourav Ganguly who was named their Captain, Graeme Swann, Jacques Kallis, Brad Hogg, RyanTen Doeschate, Ajay Ratra, Chris Read, Sean Ervine, Shaun Tait, Ryan Sidebottom, Michael Lumb, Marcus North, Taufeeq Umar, Nicky Boje and Ian Butler, who will make a comeback to make theirs aficionados rumble with love!The Legends of cricket who will make you reminisce over the best matches of the past, an encore by the legends on the 22 yards again.
Having assigned the Captain for its first season in the MCL, Sourav Ganguly said, “It is great to be able to play amongst fellow legends all over again. It will be an absolute honour to lead Libra Legends which has world class players like Jacques Kallis, Shaun Tait, Graeme Swan, and Brad Hogg amongst others. I am looking forward to some tough games played in the same spirit as the good old days against some legendary opponents.”
Legends opponents , Gemini Arabians too have a very strong squad boasting the likes of Muralitharan and Sangakkara . According to Ganguly “ Gemini Arabians are a good side . They have in their ranks iconic players like Muttiah Muralitharan and Kumar Sangakarra . So it will be a good competitive game against Viru.”

The Masters Champions League (MCL) , which is aimed at giving retired cricketers a chance to take the field again.A total of six teams will feature in the Twenty20 league . The MCL has already got the approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
This first edition is slated to start on January 28 next year, and will go on till February 14. The six teams will accommodate a total of 90 players (15 members per squad) which will entirely be held in different stadia across the UAE.
