kolkata: Sourav Ganguly visited the Presidency University to have an interactive session with the students. He was accompanied by sports editor of Anandabazar Patrika Mr Goutam Bhattacharjee. The programme was organized by Student Union Council of Presidency University.
Sourav Ganguly shared his memories of his vast cricket career at the programme. On being asked how could he be so accurate with his timings the “God of offside replied”, “Hard work and practice. As long as you work hard you will achieve success. Whether it is easy or difficult and never ever chose a narrow path”.
On being asked that how did he motivate himself when he was out of the Indian team he answered,” every cricketer has to go through various ups and downs and to overcome and reach a certain level he has to carry on performing. My motivation was I used to stand in front of the mirror and said to myself, I can I can I can”.
Sourav shared a small incident about Shahrukh Khan. “When I first met Shahrukh he shared a wonderful story with me. When he was not in the film industry he used to sleep on the opposite bench of Mannat and would think of owning the house sometimes. Today he is the owner of the house”. He signs off.
