Jeje and Anas to join practice from Wednesday

Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: I League runners up Mohun Bagan will be without their star player Sony Norde for the opening match against Churchill Brothers on January 08. Norde is having a problem with his tickets, according to the Bagan officials. Norde has recently enjoyed fatherhood. It is not sure when the Haiti international will join the squad. Meanwhile Jeje Lalpekhlua and Anas Edathodika will join the training from Wednesday while FC Pune City defender Eduardo Perera will arrive in the city on Wednesday morning. Another footballer Bikramjit Singh will join practice from tomorrow. Mohun Bagan coach Sanjay Sen has chalked out what his first eleven will be like for the first match against Churchill Brothers. Although Balwant Singh looked to regain full fitness (the striker took part in the practice match) , it looks Darryl Duffy will start with Jeje.  Balwant is likely to come in as a replacement. The defence will be patrolled by Kingshuk Chakraborty and Raju Gaekwad while Ptitam Kotal and Souvik Ghosh will be the two side backs. Pranay Halder will be given the role of a blocker in the midfield along with Souvik Chakraborty. The two wingers will be Kaene Lewis and Katsumi Yuasa. Goalkeeper Debjit Majumder will be the last line of defence. Sanjay Sen will have plenty of options as Prabir Das, Sehnaz Singh may have to sit in the reserve bench for the first match. Subhasish Basu, who has joined Mariners from Sporting Clube de Goa looked impressive in the practice match today. The footballer from Sonarpur plied his trade with Pune FC last year. Subhasish, who plays in the left back position, is a huge fan of Marcelo. Meanwhile , former Mohun Bagan captain and Padmashree Chuni Goswami, who was  present during the practice session today is impressed with the composition of Sanjay Sen’s team. According to Chuni Goswami, “The team looks balanced. It was really impressive to see them keep the ball on ground. The coch is giving good practice. The ground also looked in perfect shape.” He further added, “Among all the top three contenders (East Bengal and Bengaluru FC) Mohun Bagan looks more balanced. They will be a strong outfit with the addition of Norde and Jeje.” Meanwhile the club has decided to release 10000 tickets for the matches organized in Rabindra Sarobar stadium. All the tickets will be priced for both members and non-members on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are priced for Rs 100 & Rs 200 respectively. According to club secretary Anjan Mitra, “There will also be a VIP enclosure where the tickets will be priced for Rs 500. A total number of 200 VIP tickets will be issued. The holders of the VIP tickets will be provided with snacks.”
