Debasis Sen, Antigua: Legendary West Indian cricketer Sir Viv Richards made a surprise visit to the Indian team hotel at Antigua on Tuesday. Sir Viv, who hails from Antigua caught up with Virat Kohli and his teammates for an impromptu chat.
The likes of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay, Stuart Binny and Ajinkya Rahane were all seen having a discussion with the West Indian great, which is sure to inspire them ahead of the first Test at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua from July 21. The Indian cricketers did not let go the opportunity to chat with the legendary cricketer and later clicked a picture with him.
Indian test captain Virat Kohli had a one-on-one interaction with Richards. Later Kohli tweeted it was a memorable meeting with the legend and his words were worth gold for him. India team is scheduled to start the four test series which gets underway at Sir Viv Richards stadium in Antigua from Thursday.
India last visited the Caribbean for a Test series in 2011 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
