Dipanda Dicka opened the account for the Green and Maroon Brigade and the score remained 1-0 at the end of the first half. In the second half the Mumbai side tried hard to level the score and by doing so their defence got more open. Dicka and Kromah capitalized on those chances and scored for the side.

Mohun Bagan coach Shankarlal Chakraborty credited his midfield for today’s result.” The mid-field played really well in today’s game that’s why the forwards got the right ball to score goals,” said Chakraborty.

The Green and Maroon Brigade are playing their matches after a day break. According to the coach this is nothing new for them.” We are habituated with this kind of schedule, if you remember we played I-League and AFC Cup matches simultaneously.”
