Barasat: The Barasat Stadium today witnessed a disturbing incident as a flight broke out between the Mohammedan Sporting Club who were playing their last match of the CFL against NBP Rainbow.

The incident occured at the end of the match when Keita of Rainbow went near the dugout of Mohammedan Sporting Club and started abusing the Black Panthers. Tempers flared up within moments when the Mohammedan players and officials who retorted back. Dibyendu Biswas and Belal Ahmed reportedly went near the player to fight back.

All the players had a simple demand as to why their club was insulted and abused. However the incident cooled down after sometime.

At the press conference Mohammedan Coach Biswajit Bhattacharya acknowledged the incident and said, “the players and officials lost their cool after the club was insuted however we hope such incidents will not be repeated in the future”.

The Panthers won the game 2-1 after Dipanda Dicka scored in the 15th minute of the game. Rainbow equalised in the 58th minute owing to a individual brilliance from Bernard who scored from 20 yards. 69th minute saw Mohammedan winning a penalty which however was saved as Jiten Murmu failed to score from the spot. The winning goal for Mohammedan was scored a goal from 25 yards by Satyam Sharma who came as a substitute for Tirthankar Sarkar.

Though Mohammedan are currently in the 3rd place a lot decides on the games of Peerless. If the latter wins their last two remaining ganes then they would take the third place.
