XtraTime Web Desk : Shardul Thakur has got a call up from the selectors for joining the India A Squad in South Africa. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav has been picked up by the selectors to stay with the Indian Squad for the test match against the Blackcaps in Kanpur.

Previously, Shardul Thakur had been rested by the selectors for the recently concluded T20 Series against the Kiwis in order to manage the workload. From this decision, it is understood that the Selectors and the Team India Management want the Test Specialists to be in the best possible conditions to play against a tough South African Team. And especially after the all round performances by Shardul against Australia and England he has proved himself to be a vital cog in the wheel for the Indian team.

Also, Coach Rahul Dravid wants his players to be best prepared for the Proteas Series which is reportedly the reason behind Hanuma Vihari's selection in the India A Squad. While, on the other hand the Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has been reportedly asked to stay back with the team for the first test against New Zealand in Kanpur. Reasons behind this decision is still unknown though.
