Internet Desk: Retired all-rounder and former Aussie vice captain Shane Watson hits back his former team mate Michael Clarke after the former Australian captain opened up about his infamous sledge when he described Watson as ,”like a tumour and if we don’t fix it, it’s going to turn into a cancer.”

Appearing in an event in Melbourne on Tuesday Watson stated,” In the end it is really disappointing that things like that start to come out two or three years later on when we are all very content in retirement.”

Clarke made his comments regarding India vs Australia test series 2013, when Watson and few other players were sent back home from India during the ongoing series after the players didn’t complete a task, which was given by the coach Mickey Arthur.

According to a rumor former Aussie head coach Mickey Arthur stated that Clarke called Watson “a cancer” on the national time in-front of him.

Clarke explained his view on this matter earlier this week in a television channel interview.

“I said that there is a number of players, a group in this team at the moment, that are like a tumour and if we don’t fix it, it’s going to turn into a cancer.”

While questioning about if that applied to Watson, Clarke replied: “Shane was one of those players, yes.”
