Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Rider’s principal owner and Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan encouraged Gautam Gambhir and his team after their toe crushing defeat against the Mumbai Indians today at the Eden Gardens. The Knight Riders missed a golden opportunity to qualify as the top two team as they lost to Mumbai by 9 runs. Shah Rukh, who made his first appearance today in a IPL 10 match here went to the dressing room after the match to encourage his players. According to Shah Rukh, “We did played well but unfortunately ended up on the losing side.The players know well how to overcome their failure. The cricketers better know about the technical aspect than me.” Talking about the Play-offs, the Bollywood actor said, “It is a matter of three matches. If we can win we can come back here at the Eden Gardens and celebrate.” Speaking about his absence during the entire IPL season, Shah Rukh commented, “I was unable to come here as I was busy shooting outside the country.” The Raees actor hogged the limelight at the packed Eden Gardens for Kolkata Knight Rider’s last group league tie in IPL 10 against Mumbai Indians today. He was accompanied by his wife Gauri with sons Aryan and Abram. He made an appearance at the iconic stadium mid-way into the Mumbai Indians innings around the 10th over when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling. Clad in a white T’shirt Shah Rukh took his customery spot at the balcony of the corporate box in B Block. The capacity crowd at Eden Gardens erupted to see the KKR owner, who made his first visit at the Eden Gardens in IPL 10. The giant screen at the Eden Gardens soon zoomed in at him. He was also accompanied with actor Sanjay Kapoor and Sonu Sood. Later after the match, Shah Rukh was seen taking a lap at the Eden Gardens with son Abram. He was seen acknowledging the crowds who waited to have a glimpse of him. Later he was seen having an interaction with Mumbai Indian’s principal owner Nita Ambani. The last time Shah Rukh came to witness one of his team’s matches was Knight Rider’s opening game against Gujarat Lions at Rajkot. KKR won the game by a massive 10 wicket margin but this round the luck was not with the Badshah.
