File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: In another huge set back, the Supreme Court on Friday directed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) not to release funds even for match purposes, until the state associations implement the recommendations of Lodha- panel. The apex court froze all financial transactions between the BCCI and state cricket associations. The apex court also directed BCCI president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke to give an undertaking before the Lodha panel and in Supreme Court by December 3, stating how much time they would need to implement reforms. A bench headed by Chief Justice T S Thakur and comprising of Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice L. Nageswara Rao asked Lodha panel to appoint independent auditors to scrutinise all BCCI accounts. The judgment, which was pronounced by Justice D Y Chandrachud, also directed the Lodha panel to ask the auditors to scrutinise the high-value contracts given by BCCI. It directed the Lodha panel to fix a ceiling of high- value contracts of BCCI to be scruutinised by the auditors. The bench also asked the panel secretary to send a copy of the Supreme Court order to the ICC chairman Shashank Manohar. BCCI President Anurag Thakur steered clear of commenting on the latest diktat by the apex court, saying that he is yet to go through the order. "What impact it will have on cricket, we cannot comment before going through the order. Once we get the copy of judgement we shall respond. There are difficulties which have been placed in front of the Court," Thakur told reporters. Anurag Thakur further added, "I have full faith in the judiciary. It is the state associations who have to implement the Lodha recommendations, once they get the order, we will have a discussion with them and ask them to implement."
