XtraTime Web Desk: A late penalty strike from Cristaino Ronaldo helped Juventus settle for a 2-2 draw against Atalanta in a Seri E clash at Juventus stadium on Saturday night. The Portugese talisman scored both the goals for Juve from penalty. Duvan Zapata and Ruslan Malinovskiy were on target for Atalanta. Juventus still enjoy an 8 points lead on top with 76 points from 32 games following Lazio’s loss to Sassuolo.


Duvan Zapata gave Atalanta a lead in the 16th minute. Juventus leveled the scores in the 55th minute after they were awarded a penalty as Marten De Roon handled the ball. Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot kick. Substitute Ruslan Malinovskiy restored Atalanta's lead 10 minutes from time with a fierce 16-yard shot. But the hosts were again rewarded with a penalty as Luis Muriel unfortunately handled in the final minute.

Ronaldo scored again from penalty to take his goals tally to 28th this season so far. The result leaves Juventus eight points clear of second-placed Lazio and nine ahead of Atalanta with six games remaining. In another Serie E fixture Lazio succumbed to their third straight defeat in the league, losing 1-2 to Sassuolo.
