Sanjay Sen still hopeful of Soni Norde joining Mohun Bagan in I League

Soni-Norde

Injury to Du Dong Hyun is proving to be a setback for East Bengal coach Biswajit Bhattacharya for his preparations for the I League which starts from January 09 next year .  The attacking medio from Korea is yet to regain his full fitness . Hyun injured his left  knee while playing in the first match of Sk Kamal International tournament in Chittagong  and is yet to recover . With little more than a month to go for the I League , Dong’s injury is fast becoming a concern for Bhattacaharya . Adding  to Dong’s injury , East Bengal coach is also not too happy with the form of  his star striker Ranty Martins . Mohun Bagan coach Sanjay Sen is facing a completely different problem altogether as he is still not clear about Soni Norde’s availability . Bagan coach made it clear to the officials at the start of the season that he would want Norde in his side . But the Haiti international have been playing a game of  snake/ ladder  with the  Bagan officials . It is still not clear whether Norde will join the I league champions  after his stint with Mumbai City FC in the ISL . Although club president Tutu Bose sounded confidence about retaining Norde , who played a key role in helping the club become the I League champions .  Bagan have already signed Cornell Glenn along with Judelin Avaska apart from retaining Katsumi Yuasa . East Bengal are yet to sign their fourth foreigner . Coach Biswajit Bhattacharya will sit down with the officials very soon to discuss on the fourth foreigner . But at the moment his prime concern have been the injury to Dong who displayed a stellar performance in Kolkata League . The main reason for the delay in Dong’s rehab is the club ground which is not conducive to good football . The club  ground look very hard and any moment  it can invite an injury to the footballers . Biswajit Bhattacharya have requested the club officials to shift their training to Sailen Manna stadium from Friday . Both coaches are facing some tough time trying to get the players into shape as there is no competitive matches ahead of the I League which starts from January 09 .
