Ace shuttler and former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal married fellow badminton player and Arjuna awardee Parupalli Kashyap on Friday in Hyderabad.
The players took to social media sites Instagram and Twitter to announce the news.
“Best match of my life,” wrote Ms. Nehwal on Twitter, sharing photos of the duo in wedding finery. The two had been sharing several photographs on Instagram in which they were seen handing over invitation cards to various sportspersons and dignitaries, including actor Chiranjeevi, Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan and coach Pullela Gopichand.
