Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a big relief for the Indian touring party, captain Rohit Sharma has been tested negative for the second time. He will be out of isolation on Sunday.

Even though Rohit has been ruled out of the ongoing fifth test match against England at Edgbaston cricket ground, he has been named as the captain for the upcoming white ball series.

With the BCCI already having named him as a captain then, it was a clear indication that Rohit was on his path to recovery as well. In fact, he was part of the Test side when they arrived in England, but with the player tested positive ahead of the fifth Test, he was ruled out.

The T20 series starts from July 7. Rohit along with the players who are in the test squad will not be travelling to Southampton for the first T20I. So Rohit will have much more time to get back to full fitness and lead Team India in the series.

Here are the fixtures of white ball series:

Thursday 7th July 1st T20I Southampton
Saturday 9th July 2nd T20I Birmingham
Sunday 10th July 3rd T20I Nottingham
Tuesday 12th July 1st ODI Oval, London
Thursday 14th July 2nd ODI Lord’s, London
