Internet Desk: India’s challenge in the archery women’s individual event ended after archery Bombayla Devi lost 26-28, 26-23, 27-28, 23-25 to Mexico’s Alejandra Valencia in the pre-quarters at Rio 2016 Olympics on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, India’s ace archer Deepika Kumari crashed out of the women’s individual event after a heavy defeat at the hands of Chinese Taipei archer Tan Ya-Ting in the pre-quarters.

Deepika suffered a 28-27, 29-26, 30-27 loss and with this, her Rio Olympics journey came to an end. She had also participated in the London Olympics where she had lost in the first round.
