Xtra Time Web Desk: Australian all rounder Marcus Stoinis has been a real liverwire in the Delhi Capitals camp both on and off the field during the IPL 2020. The hard hitting all rounder once again put up a match winni g performance in the Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday. It was due to the effort of Stonis and Shikhar Dhawan, Delhi Capitals made their maiden entry in the final of IPL 2020. Shreyas Iyer’s boys will meet four time champions Mumbai Indians in Tuesday’s final to be played at the Dubai International Stadium.

One of the main reasons for DC’s success this season has been the form of Marcus Stoinis. During Sunday’s Qualifier 1 against SRH, Stoinis made a huge impact scoring a quickfire 38 off 27 balls which included five boundaries and one six. It is nothing new for the Aussie cricketer as he has been regularly opening the batting for Melbourne Stars in Big Bash League.

He was instrumental with the ball as well, picking two wickets in his very first over. He got rid of Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey off successive deliveries. Later in the 17th over, he got the all-important wicket of Kane Williamson, who scored 67 runs off 45 balls. He finished with a spell of 3-0-26-3. Stoinis does a typical celebration once he picks a wicket. He prefers to celebrate like the hulk after he picks up wickets, flexing his muscles.

Stoinis later revealed why he does such a celebration in an interaction with DC captain Shreyas Iyer after the match for IPLT2.com. He revealed he has a fascination for the fictional superhero The Hulk and he looks up to the character created by American writer Shane Lee and artist Jack Kirby as an inspiration.

Delhi Capitals will be expecting to see a hulk like performance from Marcus Stoinis in the final against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
