Kolkata: Big boost for Delhi, Bengal and Viderbha as they might get the star cricketers in the Ranji Trophy semi-finals.

As per sources, Bengal may get the services of their ace pacer Mohammad Shami and wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha in the all-important semis. India won’t play any practice game in South Africa where they will start their campaign at Cape Town from January 5. The Men in Blue are currently playing limiter overs series against Sri Lanka, but Shami, Wriddhiman are not in the team as the selectors want them all fit for the South Africa series. Now the BCCI is thinking about giving them a chance to prepare themselves for the South Africa tour and they may give them the green signal to play for Bengal in the all important Ranji Trophy semifinal. Now if Shami and Wriddhiman get an opportunity to play for Bengal, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Jadhav will also get an opportunity to represent Delhi and Viderbha respectively.
