File Pic.[/caption] Internet Desk: Riding a brilliant 110 runs by captain Manoj Tiwary, Bengal posted a formidable first innings total of 466 runs against Uttar Pradesh. Later the bowlers took three quick wickets to reduce Uttar Pradesh to 126 for 3 to wrest advantage on the second day of the Ranji Trophy tie at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Resuming at 283 for 3, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Manoj Tiwary added 46 before Easwaran returned on 142. However, Manoj Tiwary carried on where he left last night scoring at ease on either side of the wicket reaching his 22nd first class ton in 141 balls. Talking to xtratime.in , Manoj said: "I would have been happier had we put up another 70-75 runs more. I will not blame the tail enders as there was some loose shot from the reputed batsman. It felt good scoring the ton. As a batsman it is all that we can do. I hope to continue the good run of form." There was a sense of proving his critics wrong as the Bengal captain was not included in the Duleep Trophy squad. He notched up his 22nd first class with an exquisite cover drive. “I am really happy to have scored this ton. My focus this season will be to pile as many runs I can to help Bengal do well.” However, the Bengal tail failed to wag as the team lost the last 6 wickets for just 84 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the most successful UP player, as the Chinaman bowler returned with figures of 5 for 115 as he ran through the lower order. "Kuldeep did bowl well, but we also contributed to his success playing loose shots. The lower order will need to value their wickets," Manoj added. However, Bengal hit back immediately with Ashoke Dinda and Sayan Ghosh showed both control and movement with the new ball reducing UP to 49 for 3. Thereafter Umang Sharma (57) and S N Khan (43) batted sensibly to take UP past the 100 mark. At stumps both the batsmen looked set though the bite and spin Pragyan and Gani were beginning to get would leave them happy. Bengal will be looking to get a considerable first innings lead. Manoj is pinning his hopes on the spin duo of Pragyan Ojha and Aamir Gani. According to Manoj, “Our first target is to secure the three points. The partnership between Umang Sharma and Sarfaraz Khan is looking ominous. We will look to break the partnership tomorrow as early as possible,” signed off Manoj. Brief Score: Bengal : 466 all out . Abhimanyu Easwaran 142, Manoj Tiwary 110   Kuldeep Yadav 115/5 UP : 126/3   Umang Sharma 57* , Sarfaraz Khan 43*  Ashoke Dinda 27/2
