Chasing a victory target of 315 runs, Railways succumbed to 271 all out in 93.2 overs. The win takes Bengal to the top of Group A with 15 points. Ashoke Dinda, who picked all the five wickets to fall today returned with a match winning spell of 26.2-5-67-5. Railways started Day 4 on 196/5, still trailing by 119 runs. Dinda gave the first blow to Railways picking the dangerous looking Mahesh Rawat leg before. The wicket-keeper batsman scored 34 runs. Raiways was 6/210. Dinda struck again for Bengal as he got Amit Mishra caught by Manoj Tiwary for 5 runs. Deepak Bansal edged a one leaving from Dinda to be caught behind for 1 runs leaving Raiways on 2/222. Dinda picked his fourth wicket by getting Anureet Singh bowled for 10 runs. The last pair of Karn Sharma and Karan Thakur added 37 runs before Dinda struck back. He went through the defence of Karan Thakur to get his stumps uprooted. Karn Sharma left stranded on 54 runs. Bengal cruised to their second consecutive win the group. Manoj Tiwary and his team now head Group A with 15 points from 3 matches with two back to back wins over Punjab and Railways. They got 3 points in the first match against Uttar Pradesh courtesy a first innings lead. They next play Gujarat in Delhi from November 05.
