Rajat Patidar’s 102m six injures old fan in the stands at Brabourne | Watch Video

Xtra Time Web Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Rajat Patidar injured an old fan in the stands at Brabourne stadium during game No 60 against Punjab Kings on Friday night. Patidar’s six off Harpreet Brar landed on the head of an old fan in the stands, injuring him seriously.

The incident happened in the 9th over of RCB innings. Punjab’s left arm spinner Harpreet Brar came to bowl. After conceding 2 runs on the first two balls, Patidar smashed the fourth ball from Brar for a huge 102-meters six over long on.  

Notably, the ball landed on the head of the old man seated in the stands. Initially it looked serious but he was soon attended by the other fans seated next to him. Brar got smashed for four off the next delivery as well and he conceded 13 runs in the over.

Chasing 210 runs to win, RCB could only manage 155/9 as wickets fell at regular intervals. Earlier Punjab Kings Liam Livingstone (70) and Jonny Bairstow (66) shined with the bat, while Rabada picked three wickets. Rishi Dhawan and Rahul Chahar also chipped with two wickets each.
