Rajasthan Royals’ Shimron Hetmyer leaves bubble mid-way for this reason

Xtra Time Web Desk: Rajasthan Royals’ were dealt a blow as their star batter Shimron Hetmyer has left for Guyana at the business end of the ongoing IPL 2022 for the birth of his first child. The franchise confirmed the development by posting a video on twitter. The post read, “Shimron Hetmyer has travelled back to Guyana early morning today for the imminent birth of his first child, but he’ll be back soon,” it read along with a heart emoji. 

In the video, Hetmyer can be seen saying, “Hettie here. Babies are born only once and this will be my first . My stuff is still left in the room. It’s only because of a special emergency that I am leaving. Don’t miss me too much. See you soon”

Rajasthan Royals’ teammates Rassie van der Dussen was seen wishing Hetmyer “Go well Daddy. See you soon”

Jimmy Neesham too hugged him by saying, “Go well cookie.”

Hetmyer was also seen hugging Yuzuvendra Chahal and shared some tips in his ears

The Caribbean batter has been exceptional this season with 291 runs in 11 innings at a brilliant average of 72.75 and strike rate of 166.28. He is one of the strong forces behind RR’s 7 wins in 11 matches for the franchise, they now need a couple of points in the next three matches to enter the IPL 2022 playoffs.

In absence of Hetmyer, RR have other options in form of James Neesham, Rassie van der Dussen & Daryl Mitchell.
