Rahane eyeing for a good show against Windies after training with Rahul Dravid

Kolkata: Indian cricket team vice captain Ajinkya Rahane thinks that traing in front of his idol Rahul Dravid at NCA in Bangalore helped him to prepare for Windies series.

“I’m actually doing my fitness in Bangalore because the reason is it’s raining heavily in Mumbai and what I wanted to train outdoors so I think Bangalore is the best place and training under Rahul Dravid. I always follow him, he is one of my role models. I’m really happy that he’s in Bangalore and I’m focusing on my fitness as well,” said Rahane in Kolkata.

Rahane is super excited about the series against Windies. He termed them as a dangerous and as well as unpredictable team.

“I’m really looking forward really excited about this series against West Indies. It’s, we all know there are a dangerous team, unpredictable team. It is important to respect them, play our game as we’ve been playing especially in Test cricket and for me it’s important to give my best. I always focusing on contributing for my team and I think I’m just going to do my best as well,” added Rahane.

The Test Championship has just started from August 1 and Rahane too is keen to be a part of it.

“Yes, definitely. World test championship is something we all are looking forward and every test match every test series is really special. And I think the good thing about this cricket is the best thing about this cricket is you got to follow your routines every day day in they out, get up early in the morning, follow the same routines whether you do if you get out early or if you score 100 you still have to go there, follow your routines continuously and as I said that really excited about this test championship,” concluded Rahane.
