XtraTime Web Desk: Manchester United kept their hopes alive for a top four finish in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex stadium on Tuesday night. Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes were on the score sheet for the visitors with the later scoring a brace. The win took United to 52 points from 32 games, two points behind fourth placed Chelsea who is on 54 points from 31 games. The Blues can extend their lead if they win against West Ham on Wednesday night.
Mason Greenwood gave United the lead in the 16th of the match before Bruno Fernandes combined with Paul Pogba to extend the lead in the 29th minute. Fernandes was on target again immediately after the breather to seal a 3-0 victory for the Red Devils.

The victory extends Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side’s unbeaten run to 15 games. It also boosted United’s bid to qualify for the Champions League With fifth place securing qualification for the Champions League if second-placed Manchester City’s European ban is upheld, United will be in a strong position to return to the continent’s elite club competition.
