India first retained the women’s team title before Chikitha Taniparthi returned to the range with Sahil Jadhav to win gold in the mixed team event.
The contingent began the day with gold in the women’s compound archery team event. Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep defeated China 238-234 in the final. They also matched the world-record score of 238 in the final. This victory helped India retain the women’s compound team title from Hangzhou. Jyothi secured her fourth Asian Games gold medal, having won three golds at the 2022 Hangzhou Games.

Indian Men's Compound Team won the third Compound Archery Gold Medal of the day to complete an amazing day for the entire Indian Archery team.
The third gold came in mixed team trap shooting, where Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai clinched the top position for India at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery. Their victory also set a new Asian Games record in the event.
The success in archery was not India's only medal story of the day. In boxing, Priya Ghanghas' run in the women's 60kg category ended in the semifinals after a 1-4 defeat to China's Yang Chengyu. Priya nevertheless walked away with a bronze medal.
