Xtra Time Web Desk : On this day, a decade ago in 2012, legendary former Team India batter and skipper Sachin Tendulkar reached an incredible feat as the Master Blaster became the first ever and the only batter to complete his 100th international 100 for Team India against Bangladesh in an Asia Cup encounter.

The Mumbaikar also known as the God Of Cricket, completed his century in just 138 balls and scored a total of 114 off 147 balls to help Team India reach the mark of 289/5, which ultimately came in a losing cause as Bangladesh chased down the total with four balls to spare.

The 48 year old ended his career with a total of 49 ODI centuries and 51 Test centuries in his career that spanned nearly close to 2 and a half decades. Currently, Ricky Pointing and Virat Kohli stand behind Tendulkar in terms of international tons with a total 71 and 70 centuries respectively.
