Xtra Time Web Desk: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is going through a lean patch in the ongoing IPL 2023 season. Despite demoting him down the batting order in the IPL 2023 game against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk, Rohit got out for a duck. It was third duck for Rohit in the ongoing season. The star batter has so far amassed 184 runs from 10 matches with just one fifty. One of the main reasons why MI is struggling this season is their captain’s poor form.

Reacting to Rohit’s poor show in the game against CSK at Chepauk, former India opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth took a swipe at him during commentary, and called him ‘No hit Sharma’. The 63-year-old went on to add that he wouldn’t have even played Rohit in the XI if he was the skipper of the five-time champions.

The MI captain failed to connect a scoop shot against Deepak Chahar, only to see the ball taking a top edge and looping to Ravindra Jadeja fielding at point. It was Rohit’s third duck in the ongoing IPL 2023 season.
