XtraTime Web Desk: Positive news for the Indian football team fans as India gains two places in the FIFA ranking to be at 101st place in the latest FIFA rankings published on Thursday. India is now above countries like DPR Korea, Armenia and New Zealand.
India ended 2018 at 97th spot in the FIFA rankings. In the previous ranking, India dropped to 103rd position in the rankings.
Among the AFC nations, IR Iran gained a place to remain the best Asian side in the world at the 21st spot. Japan (26), Korea Republic (37) and Australia (41) have all gained a place and follow the Iran side in the AFC rankings.
Belgium, France and Brazil maintain their spot as the three best sides in the world respectively. England is at 4th place.
