Muhammad Mudassar: All you need to know about the tallest cricketer in world

XtraTime Web Desk: Pakistan’s Mohammad Irfan will no more enjoy being the tallest cricketer in the world. Irfan is overtaken by 21 year old Muhammad Mudassar who is 4 inches taller than his compatriot.
Mudassar, who is set to train at the Lahore Qalandars high-performance center for the next year is 7 feet 5 inches tall. Mudassar will be training under Aqib Javed , who is the Director of Cricket Operations. The former Pakistan cricketer will be working on developing his skills.

Currently Mahammad Irfan is the tallest amongst contemporary cricketers. The left arm fast medium bowler is playing in the ensuing T20 series against Australia Down Under.

But his title may soon be taken away by Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars’ new addition Muhammad Mudassar. The 21-year-old spinner comes from a poor family in Lahore. He was also the center of attention during the finals of the ‘Battle of Qalandars’.

While speaking on the topic of his height, Mudassar added that his most difficult part of his daily routine is picking up shoes.

Some of the tallest cricketers to have played the game include Australian Bruce Reid and Caribbean pace bowler Joel Garner, who were both 7 feet 1 inches. The current record for the world’s tallest human is held by Robert Wadlow, who was 8 feet 11 inches tall when he passed away in 1940 at the age of 22.
