Kolkata: Mohun Bagan AC could launch complaints against Abahani Limited Dhaka of Bangladesh to the AFC. The Kolkata outfits who played a rain-washed away 1-1 match at Bangladesh faced serious issues before and during the match.

The Green and Maroon brigade faced certain difficulties while playing the AFC group league match at Dhaka. Insufficient light in the field was a major problem at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.

The Green and Maroon brigade returned to Kolkata from Dhaka after a bitter experience and as a result a Bagan official said, ‘’We could complain to the AFC against Abahani. Many a times we are fined for little things but however the things that Abahani did that certainly deserves a penalty and if the club is not fined then we would certainly be astonished.”

There were lights whose power was less than 800 Watts and moreover the ground was a cricket pitch. Many of the lights in the stands refused to glow thereby created darkness in certain portions of the ground. There was also no provision on ambulance in the field. Only Oxygen supply was present.

The hotel in which the Bagan players resided before the game was horrible as per club sources. After the warm-up the players wanted refreshments in the likes of fruits and bananas which were not supplied by the hotel facilities.

The Kolkata giants ended their campaign with this 1-1 draw. Overall the Bagan had a good season but failed to win any of the trophies in which the side participated. They were runners up in both the I-League and in the Fed Cup.

All the players as well as the coach are currently out of contract from the club. Goalie Debjit Majumdar is scheduled to join the National team camp tomorrow. Coach Sanjoy Sen who is currently free will be out on a vacation with his family. The club hasn’t had any pre-agreements with its players as of now.
