Sanjoy so far had a successful stint with the Mariners winning the I League last season and ending up being the runners this season. The gaffer has also taken his team to the semi finals of Federation Cup this season. According to Mr Debasis Dutta, the finance secretary of the club, “We have no plans to change the coach . We will make our team for the next season keeping Sanjoy Sen in the mind.” Sanjoy was appointed the coach of Mohun Bagan on December 08, 2014. He did wonders helping the club win a major trophy after 13 years in his first season as coach of a big club. What might have gone for Sanjoy getting an extension in his contract was the relation he shared with his footballer’s last couple of season. He has done a brilliant work managing star footballers like Sony Norde, Cornell Glen, Balwant Singh and others. He has always maintained a low profile and has never been involved in a conflict with the officials. File Pic[/caption] Haitian International Sony Norde's future at Mohun Bagan are in serious doubts following a remark from club's finance secretary Debasis Dutta. According to Debasis, "We have failed to retain the I League even after spending so much money on Norde. We have spent 5 lakhs to fly him to India to play against East Bengal in the return I League derby, but he could not take the field due to injury." Norde though is focussing on the Hero Federation Cup semi final clash against Shillong Lajong. Speaking to the media at the club tent, Norde commented, "We have to win the semi final clash against Lajong . It is a very important match for us as we are yet to win a trophy this season." Norde also appreciated Debjit Majumder's performance this season. According to him, "Our best player this season is undoubtedly Debjit Majumder. Both Cornell Glen and Pronoy has been impressive. I am just an ordinary footballer." Norde is due to fly home to take part in an international friendly against Colombia on May 29. Which means he will not be available for the AFC Cup round of 16 clash.
