As per the Finance Secretary of the Green & Maroon Brigade, Debashis Dutta if the IFA is thinking of running the Calcutta Football League by depriving Mohun Bagan, they would think of not playing the league from next season.”The IFA is working like a biased association and they are helping a particular team to win the league during last few seasons. They should name the association, East Bengal IFA Association ,” said Dutta while talking with the media today. “You have seen that during the matches of that particular side, the referees are trying to hand them a win at any cost. If they see that nothing is going on their way, by hook or crook they are awarding penalties to that team to win the match. If it goes like this we will not play CFL from next year and will take the affiliation from Jharkhand.” He also took a dig at IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly.”He is the secretary of the IFA for almost 11 years. Before his tenure you all know that we won two back to back Calcutta Football League. But after his arrival we all know what the result is in last 9 or 10 years.” On being asked whether they would play the ISL from next season, Dutta added, “Definitely we will take part in the ISL next year.” East Bengal and Mohun Bagan have been working together regarding their stance on ISL. According to Debashis Dutta they will always work together with their arch-rivals on particular issue based reasons. “We haven’t said anything regarding East Bengal and in my comments I haven’t taken any names too, our only problem is with the mindset of the IFA. Both the teams will work together on issue based reasons,” said Debashis Dutta. Debasish Dutta also assured that they will play their remaining three games in this year’s CFL. The Mini Derby between Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting Club might get differed for a day due to the unavailability of police protection and it might take place on September 11. The Green and Maroon management are decorating their club as the FIFA and AFC delegates are coming to visit the club on September 14. Later the delegates will meet with Mohun Bagan officials at Bengal Club and conduct an important meeting there. The Mohun Bagan officials will arrange a grand dinner for the delegates at the end of the meeting. Replying to Debashis Dutta's comment, IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly said," Every club should respect the parent body and this was unexpected from them. They are doing this every year. At first they say such kind of thinks and later they also send me an apology later by stating that it won't happen again." "They have a member in the Governing committee, so they should bring a motion against me by stating that remove the General Secretary from his chair, we will become the CFL champion again," concluded Utpal Ganguly.
