Everyone will have to take responsibility while the senior players will have to take up extra responsibilities” said East Bengal captain Arnab Mondal. “Garcia is an important asset for the club. He has been many years in the city and I hope everyone will gain a lot from him.” On being asked that previous season the red and gold side was a star studded team while this year it seems a bit different, to which the veteran defender said “If we look at EPL last to last season, we saw how Leicester City won the league, without any stars. We will have to give our very best in every game.” At last, goalie Dibyendu Sarkar joined the practice for the Red and Gold side. Though city Rivals Mohun Bagan displayed a certain interest to sign him, but due to the presence of many goalkeepers in the Green and Maroon side, Sarkar decided to rejoin his side in the hope of getting more playing time and match opportunities. Meanwhile, Osei Marrison could have a trial with Mohun Bagan as per sources. The footballer from Ghana who currently plays for Dhaka Abahani had kept contact with the Green and Maroon coach Sanjoy Sen for quite some time and the city giants have no objection in Marrison giving a trial for the club.
