Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India’s premier fast bowler Mohammed Siraj shared an emotional story on Instagram ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final against Australia on Sunday, November 19. The pacer from Hyderabad posted an emotional story after the Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand in the semi-final at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on November 15.

In an emotional Instagram post, Siraj wished his father was alive to witness the World Cup final. Siraj lost his father Mohammed Ghaus while he was on tour Down Under with the Indian team in 2020. Despite the personal tragedy, Siraj stayed back with the Indian team which went on to create history by winning the test series against Australia under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane. He showed tremendous commitment and resilience.

Siraj has made useful contributions with the ball in the ongoing World Cup, picking 13 wickets so far. He has been brilliant with the new ball, giving crucial breakthroughs along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.

The Men in Blue will face Australia in the final of ICC Cricket World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.
