Kolkata: On Monday, East Bengal resumed their training after a one week rest at the Howrah stadium ahead of the high voltage derby. Out of the four foreigners Do-dong-Hyun was the only foreigner present at the training with other Indian players. Bikash Jairu, Cavin Lobo, Arnab Mondal, Narayan Das and Harmonjot Singh Khabra were missing as they were in the Indian camp for the World Cup qualifier match against Iran on Thursday.

Earlier, Biswajit Bhattacharya awarded a one week holiday after the Aizawl FC match which the Red and Gold won 3-2 in Aizawl. The gaffer strictly asked his boys to return to Kolkata by Sunday. Do-dong-Hyun did not take a leave and stayed at Kolkata as his performance graph in the I-league was below par. That is why he is being in and out of the side too.

Bernard Mendy and Ranti Martins were absent in training on Monday and is still uncertain when they will come which has annoyed the gaffer (Biswajit Bhattacharya). East Bengal is placed third in the table, five points behind league toppers Mohun Bagan. The Red and Gold have to win all their matches in the remainder of the league to stay in the hunt for the championship including the derby on April 2nd which is going to be a cracker of a contest between the arch-rivals.
