Bengal will face Maharashtra in the quarter-final of Vijay Hazare Trophy on March 15.

Kolkata: The Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB) on Thursday announced the 15 men squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy Knock-out stages. Bengal will face Kedar Jadhav’s Maharashtra on March 15 in the quarter-finals.

Debang Gandhi led senior selection committee have left Debabrata Das and Writtick Chatterjee who were the part of the team in Vijay Hazare Trophy Group stage. Agniv Pan will be the addition in the squad for the knock-outs.  Speedstar Mohammed Shami, who has been out of action for long time since the third Test against England in November because of a knee injury, might make a return for Bengal if he gets a fit certificate from NCA.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy Group stage he played the last match against Gujarat where he bowled 7 overs and gave 36 runs without picking any wicket. If Shami gets a fit certificate, he will join the Bengal Team in Delhi.
