Xtra Time Web Desk: Noted sports journalist and historian Boria Majumder’s much anticipated book on former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi was launched in Kolkata on Thursday, June 16. The book named “Maverick Commissioner – The Lalit Modi Saga” is about the unknown facts of Indian Premier League and how it all started.
“This is not a biography of Lalit Modi. This the story of IPL. The rich and ugly, no story bound. The story discloses what actually transpired after Lalit Modi left India. It is the backstage story of IPL,” said Boria Majumder about the book.
The book launch was attended by eminent celebrities of Kolkata including Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee, Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor, musician Anupam Roy, Anindya Chattopadhyay and other dignitaries.
83 film producer Vishnu Induri, who was also present on the occasion will soon make a film on the book.
