Gambhir, who led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to IPL victories in 2012 and 2014, played a crucial role in their dominant 2024 season. Under his guidance, KKR topped the league table with a record-breaking Net Run Rate (NRR) of 1.428 and clinched the title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final. His leadership and strategic acumen have been widely recognized, making him a strong candidate to succeed Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian cricket team.
