BGT 2024-25: Sunny is furious! Why did Sunil Gavaskar threaten legal action?
Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India batter Sunil Gavaskar is set to take action against a website which published a fake blog on Bumrah, Kohli titled 'A New Era in Leadership: Bumrah's Captaincy and Kohli's Leadership Revive under his name on Saturday, 23 November.
Gavaskar on Instagram marked it as fake saying Never believe everything you see on the internet. Sunil Gavaskar said on Sports Tak, "It is important for the captain to play the first Test match. It's different if he is injured, but if he is not available, then the deputy leader will be under a lot of pressure. I have been reading that Rohit Sharma might not play the first two Tests of the Australia series. I feel that, in that case the selection committee should appoint Jasprit Bumrah the captain of the side for the entire Australia tour, and tell Rohit Sharma that you will participate as a player in this series. For the first Test match, Rohit Sharma has to be there."

Earlier Sunil Gavaskar had advocated that Jasprit Bumrah should captain India for the entire BGT 2024/25 in case Rohit Sharma misses the first two Test matches. Bumrah has given justice to Gavaskar 's faith and helped his side taking the lead.

Right now Gavaskar is contracted to Star Sports for the commentary of ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy.
