XtraTime Web Desk: Lionel Messi is back to training for Barcelona on Tuesday. The Argentine did begin his pre-season training on Monday for the first time since committing his future to the Catalan club.

After a week of speculation in which Messi was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City and a reunion with his former Barca coach Pep Guardiola the Argentine, 33, on Friday performed a dramatic U-turn.
The Argentine cited he did not want to fight a legal battle with Barca over the validity of a clause in his last contract which allowed him to depart for free.

If Messi passes his coronavirus test and rejoins training without problems, he could feature in Barcelona’s friendly against Gimnastic Tarragona on Saturday.

It would be the first time Messi has played for the team since their historic 8-2 defeat to Bayern in last month’s Champions League quarter-finals.
Meanwhile a campaign to oust Barcelona club President Josep Maria Bartomeu is gathering pace as the beleaguered Barcelona president faces a vote of no-confidence over Lionel Messi’s transfer saga.
