Xtra Time Web Desk: Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra survived an injury scare after a nasty fall during the Kuortane Games 2022 in Finland. Neeraj won gold after he threw 86.69m in his first attempt. It was his second gold of the season.

The champion athlete escaped an injury scare as he slipped awkwardly during his third attempt in trying to better his previous throw. Chopra lost his balance after the throw as the run way was slippery due to rain. Much to the relief of everyone, he was soon back on his feet.

Trinidad and Tobago’s 2012 Olympics champion Keshorn Walcott won silver with a first-round throw of 86.64m. Peters was third with a best throw of 84.75m, which also came in the opening round.
