Debasis Sen, New Delhi: Indian captain Virat Kohli will have his work cut out as the Men in Blue will be eyeing a series win against a rejuvenated Australian side here at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Wednesday. With the visitors scripting an unbelievable run chase in Mohali, the series is now locked at 2-2. Kohli did not seem too impressed with the performance of his bowlers and expressed his frustration after the match last night.

“The wicket remained good throughout. We’ve been on the wrong side of the dew twice in two games, but that’s not an excuse. Especially with five down, giving 10 runs an over in the end was a bit of a harsh pill to swallow, but, look, it was very difficult to bowl in the end,” said Kohli during the post match presentation ceremony.

The Indian captain accepted the defeat in a sporting manner at the same time acknowledging the efforts of Ashton Turner and Peter Handscomb.

“The guys tried their best, but Ashton played a hell of a knock. [Peter] Handscomb played a really good innings too, to hold the innings together. [Usman] Khawaja was good again, but I think Ashton was the gamechanger, ’ said Kohli.

Both the teams arrived at the capital following the nerve wrecker at Mohali. The Indian captain posted an adorable selfie with his pet dog on reaching his hometown. He headed straight to his residence from the airport while his teammates checked in at the Taj Mahal hotel.

Later in the evening pacer Md Shami hosted a small get together for his teammates at his new apartment in Gaziabad .

Meanwhile the Indian team management has decided to give the players a break from practice on Monday. Whether the break will act in favour of the cricketers, fans will have to wait for the answer.
