The franchise already signed a long term contract with American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) in order to develop cricket in America. The partnership between ACE and the Knight Riders will include financial investments and expert advice to help the organisation develop and launch major Cricket league in the US.

According to the sources of Times of India, Knight Riders franchise is going to set up a team in Los Angeles. A city where legends like Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham and so many others made history.

Shah Rukh Khan, one of the owners of Knight Riders franchise said, “For several years now, we have been expanding the Knight Riders brand globally and closely watching the potential for T20 cricket in the US. Major League Cricket is going to be the first ever professional cricket tournament in the United States. Players from all over the world will be invited to participate but the focus will be to develop the home grown players. The inaugural season is scheduled to happen in 2022.
