Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India batsman KL Rahul is obsessed with his tattoos. He has got the most number of tattoos among the current Indian cricketers. Someone who can give Rahul a close competition is his best friend Hardik Pandya and Indian captain Virat Kohli. Tattoos have become a new style statement of the Indian cricketers. The Karnataka batsman may have recently added another tattoo which he shared on his social media platform Instagram. He captioned the post, “Hall of Flames”. It is not clear whether Rahul meant the new tattoo or his pair of shoes which has a flame design.

Rahul’s off the field image has been heavily linked with the warrior-style tattoos which cover much of his skin. He has several tattoos inked on his body with the popular ones being ‘Lighthouse on left forearm’ resembling his place of birth i.e., Mangalore.

There is another tattoo ‘Key with ram horns’ which signifies his openness to learning new things. A tattoo of a ‘Clock on his bicep’ which resembles the time he was born. Another tattoo ‘All-seeing eye on his left bicep’ is to remind him of his grandparents.

He has a ‘Deshi Basara script on right forearm’ which means to rise up which is from the Batman film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The Karnataka cricketer has the number ‘284 in Roman numerals’ which is his test cap number. He also has his ‘Parents names tattooed on his wrists’

The first tattoo KL Rahul ever got was a giant wing on his back when he was 17 years old. He also has the image of his dog Simba tattooed on his back. He also has tattoos of rose tattoo on his left hand which symbolizes new beginnings, arrows on his left hand is to protect him from harm, an owl tattoo on his left hand resembling symbol of wisdom and knowledge and last but not the least the tattoos for water, air and sun across his body, which are the three elements that are important to him.

Rahul is currently in England with the Indian test squad. There are multiple reports that the talented batsman may be preferred over Cheteshwar Pujara at No 3 in the batting order for the upcoming test series against England. He was overlooked for the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship Final against New Zealand.
