Kidambi Srikanth goes up in BWF rankings and surpasses Saina’s record

Internet Desk: Indian ace shuttler Kidambi Srikanth reached the fourth spot in the BWF ranking after he climbed four spots after winning the Denmark Open Super Premier title.

Srikanth who has been in tremendous form off late  became the first ever Indian shuttler to reach four Super Series finals in a single year. The 25 year old shuttler surpassed the record of Saina Nehwal who has a record of reaching three finals in a single year in 2010.

Srikanth is currently behind Viktor Axelsen, Son Wah Ho and Lin Dan after accumulating 66923 in his kitty. With a spot away from matching his career best ranking which he achieved in 2015 Srikanth would be eager to go up in his rankings.

On the other hand HS Prannoy too achieved a career best ranking of 12 after gaining 2 important places.In the women’s category PV Sindhu retains her second spot while Saina Nehwal gained a spot to reach the 11th spot.
