Rishabh Pant seems to enjoy the funny side as Rohit Sharma was hit in the groin area by Jasprit Bumrah in-cutter on Day 1 of the practice game against Leicestershire.

Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian captain Rohit Sharma was in some sort of discomfort after a ball from Jasprit Bumrah hit him in the groin area during Day 1 of the four-day warm up game against Leicestershire at the Uptonsteel ground on Thursday. It was a sharp in-cutter from Bumrah which hit straight in the box of Indian captain. Rohit was immediately in some serious pain prompting the physio to rush to the field. Rishabh Pant, who was keeping wickets for Leicestershire XI seemed to have some fun. After a few minutes, play resumed again. Rohit managed to score just 25 runs before he was caught by Rovman Walker.

It was a rare sight for the Indian cricket fans watching Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill facing the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna. The Indian side were in a spot losing five wickets for 81 runs in 23.3 overs. None of the top order batters got going except Virat Kohli who was not out on 32 when rain stopped play. Wicketkeeper KS Bharat was not out on 11, with the score reading 133/5.

India will face England in the rearranged fifth Test from July 1 at Edgbaston. The Indians lead the series 2-1 and would want to either win or draw this match to win their first Test series in England since 2007.
