XtraTime Web Desk – The 500th match of the Indian Super League saw Jamshedpur FC beat NorthEast United 1-0 as Aniket Jadhav scored the winner for the red miners!
The first was evenly poised as both the teams tried to keep the possession. In the second half, Aniket Jadhak broke the deadlock. Sylla could have equalised for NorthEast but failed to score from a penalty as Rehenesh became the 3rd goalkeeper to stop a penalty this season.
Jamshedpur kept the possession with many shots over two halves but luck didn’t favour them. Jackichand’s shot hit the bar post which could’ve given Jamshedpur a 2-0 lead.
Nevertheless, Jamshedpur won this tight encounter as they now have 10 points from 7 games and is now at the 5th position while NorthEast United is on 4th position with same number of points from same number of matches.
