Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman or more popularly known as VVS is arguably the most popular cricketer in Hyderabad. Laxman, who is doing commentary for the host broadcaster is impressed to see Wriddhiman Saha scoring his second test ton after coming back from an injury. “It was a fantastic knock from Saha as well. Someone who is making a comeback from injury, it was an incredible knock. He also carried forward his form from the Irani Trophy where he scored a double hundred against Gujarat. What I really like about Saha’s knock today was he played his natural game and scored that brilliant hundred,” said Laxman to xtratime.in as he was leaving the stadium. The stylish middle order batsman is simply fascinated to see Virat bat in recent times. According to Laxman, “What more I can say about Virat. He is creating records after records. To score four double hundreds in four consecutive test series is just amazing statistics. What really impresses me about Virat is he is never ever complacent. Whenever he is in form he will ensure that he makes maximum use of that form and also he has got a game plan and sticks to it. It was an amazing display of focus, concentration and also great determination and discipline.” Although he was disappointed to see the Bangladesh bowling, but he had words of praise for teenage sensation Mehedi Hasan Miraz. “From Bangladesh point of view they will be a little disappointed with their bowling performance even though I am very impressed with Mehedi Hasan Miraz, the way he bowled at the Indian batsmen. He was playing in his fifth test match and I must say he has got a bright future ahead,” said Laxman. Lastly on the fate of the match, Laxman said, “It’s going to be a challenge for India as the wicket is still playing well even though there is some help for the spinners and the cracks are going to open up as the match progresses. It’s going to be a challenge for the Bangladeshi batsmen but India cannot be complacent. Both Ashwin and Jadeja will have a big role to play in this test match.”
