Internet Desk: On his 18th Mann Ki Baat Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Its important to take football to every village.
“Its important to take football to every village & FIFA U-17 is a great opportunity”.
He also sounds very concerned about India’s ranking in global football.
“India had a good run in football earlier but that is not the case now. Our rankings are also very low”.
India will host the U-17 World Cup in 2017. The Indian PM also stated that they have to utilize this opportunity.
“Due to the tournament that we are hosting, we will get an opportunity to create good sporting infrastructure also”.
He also urged the Indian youths to come forward.
“FIFA U-17 is a great opportunity. I would like every youth of the country to become ambassador of 2017 FIFA Under- 17 World Cup”.
