Internet Desk: NorthEast United have agreed a deal for Mohun Bagan’s Katsumi Yusa. The Japanese midfielder, who played a vital role in the Kolkata club’s I-League triumph last season with seven goals, has been on the radar of the Highlanders for quite some time. Yusa is rated as among the best foreign players plying their trade in the I-League this season and this will be the first time he would participate in the Indian Super League (ISL). Katsumi will join Mohun Bagan after the ISL in the ISL. Katsumi was instrumental in Mohun Bagan’s Feeration Cup triumph.
Attacking midfielder Manoel Morais Amorim has been signed by Nort East United FC. Brazilian midfielder has played for clubs like Atlético Paranaense, Corinthians , Atlético Mineiro etc. His current club was Sao Bento where he joined from Clube de Regatas Brasil (CRB). Hope to see some fireworks from him in this year’s ISL for NEUFC.
Chennaiyin FC defender Mailson Alves who played a vital role for his team in winning last year’s ISL will ply his trade for North East united FC this year. The 28-year-old Mailson has spent almost his entire career in clubs of Brazil barring a short stint with Portuguese second tier outfit Portimonense.
